Doug Helzer - Vice
President
Graduated from
the University of San Diego in May of 1980 with a
bachelors degree in Business Administration.
Following graduation, Doug went on to work for
USF&G Insurance Company in San Antonio Texas as
a fire/marine underwriter.
In October 1981 Doug moved to Pueblo, Colorado to
manage the Leach Insurance Agency. He remained
manager of the Leach Agency until December of 1985
when he and Mark Swanson purchased three combined
agencies; Leach Chalif Agency, and Sam Jones
Agency, and owned them under the name Centennial
Insurance.

Tom Ratzlaff - Vice
President
Graduated from the University of North Dakota with
a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work. In
1985, Tom moved to Pueblo, Colorado after his wife
was offered a job at a local hospital. Tom worked
various jobs until 1989 when he started working
with Centennial-Jones Insurance Agency as a
commercial insurance producer.
Tom managed the Canon City office of the agency for
over a year until the agency sold and he moved back
to the Pueblo office to continue his career. During
the 1990's Tom received his Certified Insurance
Counselor (CIC) designation and has remained a CIC
since 1995.

David Swanson - Vice
President
Completed the Bachelor of Science in Finance degree
at Texas Tech University in December of 1983. The
following six years, David was employed with the
United Parcel Service as a supervisor/manager.
In 1989, a move to Denver, Colorado placed David in
a large insurance company, USF&G Insurance as
an underwriter, for four years. At the end of these
four years he moved to the agency side of the
insurance industry where he has helped service the
needs and requirements of business insurance
customers since February of 1993.

Mark Swanson - Vice
President
Graduated from the Minot State College in May of
1979 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and
a minor in Business Administration.
Mark became part owner of Centennial Insurance
Agency in May of 1985. He then served as the Vice
President of Sales and Marketing in February 2001
when the agency was under the ownership of Peoples
Insurance Agency and in October of the following
year he became Community President of Peoples
National Bank.
